Two vertical tanks for nitrate fertilizer storage erection
The basic feature of the finished construction project was the Customer`s high requirements for the execution of works and safety. During the whole period of the implementation of a project, the work was carried out in-process.
Main specifications:
- Stored product - nitrate fertilizer;
- VST amount - 2 pcs with a capacity of 5000 m3 each;
- Material - 09G2S;
- Erection procedure - Roll method;
- Heat insulation assembly (with a thickness of 100 mm) and finishing coat with a thickness of 0.7 mm (zinc-coated profiled metal sheet).
Specific features and complexities of the project
The vertical tanks 5000 m3 were erectid by the Roll method. The main features of the project were:
- execution of works in the winter season under the temperature below freezing point and high humidity;
- all the works were performed at the territory of the operating enterprise.
In order to maintain the medium operating temperature, the internal coil and heat insulation with mineral wool plate were installed.
Hazard category of the operating medium is III according to GOST 12.1.007.
The Engineering department of SARRZ has delivered the two vertical tanks and performed the following design and assembly works:
- project documentation development, which included KM projects (steel works), TI project (thermal insulation), KMD project (detailed design);
- VST steel structures manufacture by rolling method from 09G2S steel grade;
- erecting works, including the unrolling of the tank shell plates, welding of butt joints, laying of the roof metal structures.
