Erection of a vertical tank VST-5000 for the pure water storage
The project for the erection of a 5000 m3 pure water storage tank was designed to replace the old equipment at the Customer's facility for the construction mixes production.
In terms of the turnkey supply of the vertical tank the complex project works were performed, including the development of a set of design and detailed documentation: KM project, steel structures details, thermal insulation, anti-corrosion protection and reinforced-concrete structures projects. Foundation work was completely carried out by the Customer.
Construction and erection work on the unrolling of the shell and bottom, the installation of the roof, the application of anti-corrosion protection and the installation of thermal insulation was completed by the end of 2022.

Specific features and complexities of the project
The design solution provided for the overflow pipeline of the operating medium above the filling level of 11200 mm.
There were no strict requirements for the temperature regime of the operating environment: the operating temperature was designed from - 35°C to +35°C, and therefore there was no need to install a heater.
The thermal insulation is made of non-combustible water-repellent ISOROC mineral wool boards with a size of 1000x500x100 mm and with a density of 50 kg/m3 and a designed coefficient of heat conductivity of 0.034 W/M °C. The finishing material of the thermal insulation of the shell is profiled sheets with a 0.7 mm thick. The finishing material of the roof is a galvanized sheet with a 0.8 mm thick.
The works on the design and erection of the vertical tank VST-5000 for the pure water storage for the enterprise of the production of construction mixes included:
- a set of design and detailed documentation: KM project, steel structures details, thermal insulation, anti-corrosion protection and reinforced-concrete structures projects;
- manufacture of the tank steel structures: two rolled-up sheets of the shell, two rolled-up sheets of the bottom with annular plates, a conical paneled roof, hatches and nozzles in the shell and roof, stair tower, platforms and guards on roofs, lightning immunity, overflow pipeline and thermal insulation fasteners;
- shipment of metal structures to the construction site by road;
- erection of vertical tank VST-5000 steel structures for pure water;
- application of anti-corrosion protection from the inside and outside;
- installation of thermal insulation fasteners, mineral wool boards, coating material;
- quality control of the work performed in accordance with the project.
