Reliability and stability of the performing company, submission of works within contract period was essential for the Customer. The SARRZ Plant was able to establish partnership relations with the Customer and implement the project in accordance with the approved work specification.
Main specifications:
- Stored product - bitumen;
- VST amount - 1 pcs with a capacity of 1000 m3;
- Material - 09G2S;
- Erection procedure - Roll method;
- Heat insulator assembly (100 mm) and finishing layer (galvanized sheet with a thickness of 0,7 mm).
Specific features and complexities of the project
The key feature of the completed object was the work in confined spaces. In this regard, the erection of a bitumen storage tank was carried out by the roll method.
A three-circuit thermal oil heater was installed inside the tank, which was custom designed to maintain effective bitumen convection.
Due to the high significance of the object, it was necessary to perform all the work in a short time: design, manufacture, delivery, installation and hydraulic testing took 4 months.
The SARRZ Engineering department has performed the following scope of works on vertical tank delivery:
- project engineering KM project, heat insulator project, heater design);
- vertical steel tank manufacture;
- equipment truck hauling;
- construction and assembly work on vertical tank erection;
- hydraulic pressure testing and Non-Destructive Testing for Quality Assurance;
- anti-corrosive coating application on the outer surface (heat-resisting enamel КО-8101 in 2 layers).
