The Customer`s priority when choosing the contractor was the choice of a reliable company that has completed projects that meet quality standards. Due to the high performance level, the SARRZ Plant was able to establish partnership relations with the Customer and implement the project in accordance with the approved work specification.
A Process Design Package was developed for the Customer: KJ project - RC construction project, KM project - structural steel project, TI project - thermal insulation project, AKZ project - corrosion protection system design. The production of the tank structural steel was carried out in the factory by the rolling method from steel grade 09G2S. The erecting works included the unrolling of the tank shell plates, welding of the butt joints, laying of the roof steel structures, asembly of stairs and service platforms, and a pontoon.

Specific features and complexities of the project
The oil products tanks erection was carried out in the conditions of the operating enterprise, as well as the old tank and the tank base dismounting was performed, followed by a new piled rafts arrangement (200 m3, 137 piles with a length of 9 m).
Vertical steel tank VST-5000 was manufactured with an aluminum pontoon to prevent evaporation of products and is equipped with an Endress House control and instrumentation system, fire extinguishing and deluge system, lightning protective and grounding system.
The Saratov Reservoir Plant carried out the tank construction service including the old tank and the tank base dismantling and a new vertical tank VST-5000 erection. The list of works was determined by the work specification of the customer and comprised:
- engineering design for RC construction, structural steel, thermal insulation and corrosion protection system;
- vertical steel tank manufacture from 09G2S steel grade;
- delivery of the steel rolled plates by road;
- an old tank dismantling;
- construction and installation activities of VST-5000 with non-destructive examination;
- hydraulic tests and anti-corrosive coating application on the outer and inner surfaces of the tank.

Under the scope of the project, a complex of design and survey work package was carried out on a VST-5000 m3 with a pontoon for receiving, storing and pumping of product oil, including support infrastructure. Engineering surveys (geodesic, geological) were carried out in the conditions of an operating enterprise, a full set of Detailed Engineering Design was developed for the VSTp 5000 m3 tank (with a pontoon) with the appropriate process piping for receiving, storing and pumping ofproduct oil.
