The fuel filling station re-design at Magadan Airport was a key project for the Customer at the time of entering into a contract, since the quality and speed of providing services of refuelling both Russian and international air liners depended on the operating of the refueling complex. Filling, storage and into-plane issue must meet the high standards of the Federal Air Transport Agency and The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the Customer approached the choice of the contractor with maximum responsibility.
It was the Saratov Reservoir Factory, the completed facilities of which showed the reliability of our enterprise as a tank manufacturer, and an organization that performes construction and assembly work, including at hazardous industrial facilities.
Our specialists has met the strict constraints of the order: tight deadlines for the performance of work due to the facility location, as well as compliance with the international jet fuel storage requirements.
Main specifications:
- Stored product - jet fuel;
- VST amount - 2pcs, capacity of each - 1000 m3;
- Material - 09G2S-12 according to GOST 19281;
- The tank structural elements: bottom, shell, conical frame roof, shell and roof manholes and pipes, skylight, roof platform, stair tower, air termination system, foam proportioner service platforms, brackets of the piping for deluge ring;
- Processing equipment: breathing combination valve (KDS) with disk-reflector, tank clap valve, control mechanism of the tank clap valve, floating intake, sampler Extreme-R, siphon valve;
- Overall dimensions: diameter 12330 mm, height 8940 mm.
Specific features and complexities of the project
The tanks erection was carried out in a short time frame due to the weatherization: the necessary temperature schedule for foundation work required completion of the work before the start of sub-zero temperatures.
In this respect, th works on the demolition of the outdated tanks, as well as foundation work began simultaneously with the start of the vertical tanks manufacture.
Due to the remoteness of the facility, combined delivery of steel structures was used: by road, railway and maritime transport.
The Saratov Reservoir Plant has completed the work package on the reconstruction of the jet fuel storage tank farm at the bulk fuel installations in Magadan. In the context of cooperation with the leading representative of the fuel filling stations of Russia, we have performed:
- KM project development for tanks steel structures;
- manufacture of rolled sheets of shells and bottoms, as well as self-supporting tank conical roofs, stair towers;
- dismantling of the old tanks;
- foundation work for new tanks;
- delivery of the tank steel structures and attachments;
- vertical steel tanks VST-1000 erection without anchoring (because it is structurally stable);
- anti-corrosive coating application: polyurethane zinc-rich primer Cinotan, enamel Polyton-UR as a sealing film, a two-container acryl-urethane top coat Polyton-UR (UV).
Thus, the SARRZ manufacturing and engineering departments fulfilled a turnkey project for the reconstruction of the bulk fuel installations, which is the main advantage of cooperation with us.
